Hassan Tower in Morocco

Hassan Tower is one of the most remarkable monuments of Rabat, the Moroccan capital. This huge minaret of an uncompleted mosque dates back to the end of the 12th century and it was established by Yusuf Al Mansour to be the largest minaret in the world. Today it became one of the most popular touristic sites explored by numerous tourists who travel to Morocco.

Being more than 44 meters, which is half the height intended for the original minaret, the Hassan Tower is quite striking. Together with the modern Mosque of Mohamed V, the Hassan Tower, and the remains of the ancient mosque of Yusuf Al Mansour, form one of the most wonderful sites that blend the magic of the past and the wonders of the present in one magnificent site included in many Morocco travel packages.
