DAY 2, Friday - Arrive in Glasgow
Arrive in the vibrant port city of Glasgow, an emerging center of new and stylish sophistication; transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to get acquainted with this friendly city on your own. This evening, your tour will begin with an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 6 PM followed by a Welcome Dinner. We recommend that you select flights which arrive in your destination no later than 4 PM if possible

DAY 3, Saturday - Glasgow City Tour
Today’s tour of Glasgow reveals views of this 1400-year-old city with its rich and diverse history. View the splendid Victorian and Art Nouveau architecture before continuing to magnificent George Square and the bustling River Clyde, the center of the city’s famed shipbuilding industry. Stop at timeless St. Mungo's Cathedral, dedicated to the patron saint and founder of the city before time to discover this spirited city on your own. Or, join the optional tour to Stirling Castle and the Bannockburn Monument. Visit historic Stirling Castle, one of the largest and most important in Scotland. Next, continue south of Stirling to the site of the Battle of Bannockburn. In the evening, discover Glasgow’s rollicking pubs and nightlife on your own

DAY 4, Sunday - Cruise Loch Lomond, Inveraray Castle
A scenic drive this morning takes you to the “bonnie banks” of storied Loch Lomond. Here, board a cruise on this lake renowned for its natural beauty, history, and serenity. Enjoy spectacular views of fjord-like landscapes, mysterious islands, and picturesque villages before returning to shore. Stop for a relaxing lunch on your own in the pristine surroundings before visiting fairytale Inveraray Castle, dominating the shores of Loch Fyne since the 1400s. This ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll is strikingly set against the ruggedness of the highland scenery. Tour the enchanting interior highlighted by magnificent French tapestries and priceless art collections. Walk through the exquisitely manicured gardens before continuing to your hotel in Oban for dinner and overnight

DAY 5, Monday - Isle of Mull, Iona Abbey
On the peaceful Isle of Mull, the second largest of the Inner Hebrides, view magnificent sea cliffs, white sandy beaches, bright rose-pink granite mountains rising from emerald seas. Proceed to the windswept Isle of Iona, birthplace of Christianity in Scotland. Here, visit the 800-year-old reconstructed Iona Abbey, spiritual center of the island, where it is believed that monks created the remarkable illuminated Book of Kells. Time to view the museum’s treasures and the Romanesque chapel that marks the burial place of Scotland’s kings before time on your own. Return to your hotel for dinner

DAY 6, Tuesday - Travel to Fort William, Village of Ullapool
Travel north to Fort William, via Fort Augustus and Invermoriston Falls, nestled on the shores of Loch Linnhe. Admire the magnificent panoramas from this town situated at the foot of Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest peak and the lush Glen Nevis Valley. Braveheart, Rob Roy, and the Harry Potter series were filmed here! Drive through spectacular scenery to the quaint fishing village of Ullapool in the Northwest Highlands, nestled on the picturesque shores of Lochbroom, a popular holiday getaway. DAY 7, Wednesday - Scenic Drive, Castle & Gardens of Mey, Thurso
This morning, embark on a scenic drive through the countryside to Castle of Mey. Upon arrival at the Castle and Gardens of Mey*, with its isolated charm, you’re welcomed by a feast of turrets topped by honey colored stones. This isolated castle and former home of the Queen Mother, is still visited today by the Royal Family. The castle offers stunning views across the Pentland Firth to the Orkney Islands. Visit the castle’s interior designed by the Queen Mum and the unique and romantic walled gardens that she personally restored to one of the most beautiful in Scotland. At the Visitor Center, time for lunch. Next, on to Thurso for overnight. Dinner together recaps a lovely day

DAY 8, Thursday - Orkney Islands
Board a ferry this morning from the coastal village of John O’Groats to Burwick, a village on the island of South Ronaldsay in the spellbinding Orkney Islands, an archipelago off the coast of Scotland with a unique history and culture. The islands encompass mysterious Neolithic sites, tall sandstone cliffs, and seal colonies. Drive across the Churchill barriers created during WWII to deter submarines; view the ornate Italian Chapel, constructed by Italian prisoners of war during the Second World War. After lunch, continue via Kirkwall and stop at the ancient settlement of Skara Brae, a 5000-year-old preserved village. Then, return to Thurso in time for dinner at the hotel

DAY 9, Friday - Whisky Distillery, Dunrobin Castle, Aviemore
Learn the many steps involved in whisky making on your behind-the-scenes tour of a local whisky distillery. Afterward, on to Dunrobin Castle, dating back to 1275, with over 190 rooms - the largest castle in northern Scotland. View the regal rooms, priceless artifacts, and library with over 10,000 volumes. DAY 10, Saturday - Blair Castle, St Andrews, Edinburgh
A day of outstanding scenery on the drive to fairytale Blair Castle, the ancient seat of the Dukes and Earls of Atholl settled in the dramatic landscape of the highlands. Tour the stately rooms displaying priceless treasures before a walk in the Georgian-designed gardens. The drive continues to the charming town of St Andrews, celebrated for its golf courses and internationally renowned St Andrews University, where Prince William and Catherine studied. Then, it’s on to dramatic Edinburgh, the country’s capital city with its exquisite Georgian and Victorian architecture

DAY 11, Sunday - Discover Edinburgh
Edinburgh’s rich heritage is revealed today on a tour of this historic and stately capital, built on seven hills. Pass the elegant mansions of the 200-year-old Georgian “New Town” on your way to the Museum of Scotland and the Scottish Parliament at the foot of the Royal Mile. Admire regal Holyrood Palace, the Queen’s official residence in Scotland. Afterward, visit splendid Edinburgh Castle perched high above the city; view Scotland’s magnificent crown jewels, St. Margaret’s Chapel and the Stone of Destiny, returned from London after 700 years. After stunning panoramic views from its ramparts, return to the center of the city for leisure time to explore this endlessly fascinating city on your own. Tonight, bid a fond farewell to Scotland and your newfound friends at dinner in a local restaurant
