DAY 1, Monday - Depart for Italy

DAY 2, Tuesday - Arrive in Venice
Arrive in Venice and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure in this magical city built over a hundred small islands and connected by 400 bridges. Tonight, attend an orientation meeting at approximately 6 PM (exact time will be advised on tour arrival day) with your Tour Manager on the upcoming journey that awaits you in Italy

DAY 3, Wednesday - Full Day in Venice
Today, you can spend the day at your leisure, or choose to participate in an optional walking tour of some of the most famous Venetian sights. The tour starts with a visit to a glassblowing factory in Murano, known for its artistic and colorful glassware. Then, travel by boat to Venice Island for a walking tour through the narrow alleys that suddenly open into squares, such as Campo Santa Maria Formosa and Campo SS. Giovanni e Paolo, the second largest square in Venice. As you stroll through the maze of streets to Rialto bridge, listen to the stories of Venetian lifestyle from your local guide. Upon arrival at St. Mark's, learn about the Square's most prominent monuments, including the Golden Basilica of San Marco, the Doge's Palace as well as the Bell and Clock Towers. Please note: This is an orientation walking tour of Venice and does not include entry into any landmarks. The rest of the day is yours to explore Venice at leisure, or participate in this afternoon's optional Gondola Ride, offering a different perspective of this unique city built on water

DAY 4, Thursday - Tuscany & Pisa en route to Florence
Depart Venice and travel through the stunning golden landscape of Tuscany, dotted with olive trees. Visit a local Tuscan farm in the countryside for a wine tasting paired with delectable local specialties. On to Pisa, to view the famous Piazza dei Miracoli with its Leaning Tower, among the most instantly recognizable structures on earth. The monuments on the extraordinary Piazza dei Miracoli create a unique architectural blend of Romanesque and Gothic styles. Then, travel to the lively Renaissance city of Florence, with its priceless art and architecture for overnight

DAY 5, Friday - Full Day in Florence
Spend your day at leisure exploring this famous city. Perhaps, choose to join the optional walking tour through the heart of Florence, to view the magnificent Duomo, with its Brunelleschi-designed dome, the renowned "Gates of Paradise" of the Baptistery by Ghiberti and Giotto's Belltower. Proceed to the open-air art museum of Signoria Square, admire the statues of the Loggia dei Lanzi, Neptune's fountain and Palazzo Vecchio, former residence of the Medici family before continuing to the splendid Ponte Vecchio. Please note: This is an orientation walking tour of Florence and does not include entry into any landmarks. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure in this spectacular city. Tonight, embark on a delightful optional evening through the Tuscan hills to a lovely restaurant, where a sumptuous dinner with unlimited wine and entertainment awaits

DAY 6, Saturday - Medieval Assisi, en route to Rome
Depart Florence and journey to the small medieval town of Assisi perched high on a hill in the Umbria region, with its winding streets and sacred shrines. Assisi is best known as the birthplace of St. Francis of Assisi - patron saint of Italy. Its main attraction is the 13th-century Basilica di San Francesco, one of the artistic highlights of medieval Europe which contains the sacred relics of St. Francis and Giotto's amazing frescoes. The town of Assisi has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its significant art and architecture. Afterward, continue to Rome, the astonishing city built on seven hills

DAY 7, Sunday - Full Day in Rome
Spend your day at leisure, exploring "The Eternal City" or, choose to join the optional Ancient Rome tour. Begin at the legendary Roman Forum, the central area of the city from which ancient Rome developed. Next, view the triumphal Arch of Constantine, erected by the Roman Senate to commemorate Constantine's tenth year of leadership over the Eternal City. Gain special access to the mighty Colosseum, the largest amphitheater built in the Roman Empire that seated over 50,000. It was used for gladiatorial contests and public events that were attended by the rich, the poor and by the Emperor himself

Enjoy your free time to explore this magnificent city on your own, or choose to join an optional tour of the Vatican Museums and Michelangelo's incomparable Sistine Chapel. Admire the Gallery of Tapestries and the Geographical Maps before arriving to the Sistine Chapel, with its great frescoes by Michelangelo. Spend the afternoon at leisure, or join the optional walking tour of the Eternal City's grand piazzas that begins at the Spanish Steps and continues to the legendary Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and the baroque Piazza Navona
