Your trip begins at the Iguassu National Park where we drive through the lush, subtropical vegetation of the park en route to the falls. Stroll the trail descending the canyon that offers a panoramic view of the more than 240 falls. Take the glass elevator up the cliff face for an exquisite view from the upper deck. The Iguassu National Park along with its "sister" park in Argentina form the most significant remaining rainforest in the southern cone of South America, which along with the waterfalls have been declared a National Heritage Site by UNESCO. Todays tour takes you in style via convertible Jeep to captivating sights in Rio de Janeiro. Your first stop will be the Botanical Gardens, created in 1817 to serve as a cultivation center of exotic plants. Here, enjoy a guided tour of the warehouse, where you see grandiose parade floats and flamboyant costumes. There will be an opportunity to try on authentic Carnival costumes. Toast your Carnival experience with a caipirinha Brazilís national cocktail, while you learn about the history of the Samba dance and the Carnival parades from an expert guide. Then, participate in a dance workshop to learn the steps of Samba from a professional dancer, while you encounter diverse Afro-Brazilian rhythms like Ijexa, Coco, Iongo, and Samba de roda. Depart your hotel and drive through the cityís main streets en route to iconic Sugar Loaf Mountain. In the downtown area, pass many of the cityís landmarks including the Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Sebastian, the Municipal Theatre and the Samba Drome. Arrive at Praia Vermelha to begin your ascent up Sugar Loaf Mountain by cable car to the top of Urca Hill. See the superb panorama of the city unfold before your eyes. Then, change to a second cable car that takes you all the way to the summit. Now, the views are absolutely breathtaking the entire city is within your grasp, including the bridge, the bay, the majestic mountain range, and the city of Niteroi, on the other side of the bay. Pick-up will be between 8:00 am and 8:30 am from the front desk of the hotel. Pick-up time on Saturdays will be between 7:45 am and 8:15 am. Drop-off is at your hotel. This afternoon enjoy an ascent by a scenic cog railway to the summit of Corcovado Hill. Here, at 2400 feet above the city stands the 125 foot statue of Christ the Redeemer. The Christ statue, that embraces the entire city, is designated as one of the seven "New Wonders of the World." See the thrilling 360 degree sweeping view of the city and understand why Rio is known as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Afterwards, return to the hotel along Rioís famous beaches, including Copacabana and Ipanema. Pick-up will be between 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm from the front desk of the hotel. Today youll discover one of Brazils most historic landmarks, the Christo Rendentor or "Christ the Redeemer" statue. Situated high atop the mountain of Corcovado, the Redeemer statue is a towering 2,329 feet above sea level, and was inaugurated in 1931. The tour begins in Cosme Velhos neighborhood from which the cogwheel train ascends the Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world, to the summit. From the statue, enjoy panoramic views of Rio, including Sugar Loaf Mountain, Guanabara Bay, the beaches of the Southern Zone, and the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon. The tour continues to the Sao Conrado area, with a brief stop at Pepino Beach. Departs at 9:00 a.m. Please be in the lobby 15 minutes prior to departure. Tour ends at hotel.

We depart the hotel to visit the Christ Statue, recently elected as one of the seven modern wonders of the world, sitting atop Corcovado Hill. Following a scenic drive along the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, we arrive at the foot of the hill. From here we embark a small train, climbing the beautiful mountain. Upon arrival at the top, visitors experience a panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro and discover why it is known as the "Marvelous City" Tour also includes a drive along Rios famous beaches.

The Guanabara Bay is the 3rd biggest bay in the world in terms of water volume. It has 413 km2 of area and extends for 33 km and houses 84 different sized islands. An unforgettable boat tour with departure from the Marina da Gloria, we will see the Santos Dumont domestic airport, the giants pillars of the Rio-Niteroi bridge, the harbor, Lage and Sao Joao fort, Sugar Loaf, the ferryboat and Fiscal Island.

Following your pick-up in open-top jeeps at your hotel, guests will be taken to the stunning Tijuca Atlantic Forest, the largest urban forest in the world. We will make stops at the Chinese Lookout with magnificent views of Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, Guanabara Bay and Sugar Loaf. During the tour, guests can casually observe tropical animals like monkeys, sloths and exotic birds. Upon arriving at Praia Vermelha, begin the first leg of your journey up Sugar Loaf Mountain. Hop in a cable car and ascend from street level to the top of Urca Hill. Over the course of that 3 minute ride, a superb panorama unfolds right before your eyes. At Urca, enter a second cable car for the ride to the summit. After a 6 minute ride, you will be welcomed to the top by an unsurpassed view.
