DAY 1: Departure from USA, Arrive Guatemala City, Antigua
- Board your international flight to start your journey to Guatemala
- Arrival at Guatemala City international airport, Welcome by your guide and transfer to Antigua.
- Arrival in Antigua. This colonial town keeps the charm of a baroque style city, with chessboard like coble streets, surrounded by mountains and volcanoes. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2: Antigua City
- Continental breakfast at the hotel.
- Leisurely walk around Antigua to enjoy its ambiance and discover the history.
- Visit of the Dominicans convent, now a days a cultural center with its museums, the best way to understand the life during the colony and the changes in this town through the earthquakes that shaped this city.
- Free time for lunch.
- From the Main Plaza you can have a great view of the Spaniard traditional town, with the square plaza surrounded by the Cathedral, the remains of the Archbishops palace, City Hall and the Governor Palace, where the whole region was rein.

DAY 3: Antigua, Chichicastenango, Panajachel

- Transfer to the highlands, to Chichicastenango.
- Arrival at Chichicastenango Visit of this traditional town where you will enjoy the market day where locals come to buy products for everyday living. In front of the church you will see the ceremonies and offerings that local Mayan priest do.

DAY 4: Panajachel, San Antonio Palopo, San Juan la Laguna, Panajachel
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Transfer to Panajachel. From the dock you will take a boat ride to visit the Mayan villages of San Antonio Palopo and San Juan la Laguna.
- At San Antonio you will explore a small traditional village where all the women wear the traditional clothes, a long blue skirt, and a combination of blue, green, and white for the blouse. In this town you will see how the locals works with clay to create different artifacts then they hand paint each piece with the palette of colors you will see around the lake Atitlan.
- Continue to San Juan la Laguna. A small town where locals thanks to small coops had manage to bring development to all. Thanks to the long tradition of using natural dyes from plants and the weaving this cotton colored threads to create beautiful and useful pieces. Also, the midwifes that heal locals with plants and follow the pregnancy of each woman. San Juan it is know too thanks to local artist that have decorated different streets with paintings depicting their traditions and beliefs.
- Return to Panajachel.

DAY 5: Panajachel, Guatemala City, Flores
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Transfer to Guatemala City.
- Sightseeing tour of Guatemala City. Guatemala City is the largest capital in Central America, is the blend of Colonial and modern Guatemala. Downtown preserve the old city flare, with a mixed architecture, from colonial to the 70-80 avant-garde style, a stop at the central market is a must
- Visit of the Archeological museum (closed on Mondays), where you will learn about the different stages of Mayan Civilization, a great way to enjoy the best collection available of Mayan pieces dating from the Pre to Post-classical periods. You will see clay artifacts, seashell and jade jewelry, stelas made from limestone and sandstone, from different parts of the country, all together in one place for you to enjoy. A great introduction for your Guatemalan discovery.

DAY 6: Flores, Tikal, Flores Guatemala City
- Continental breakfast provided by the hotel.
- Visit of the archeological site of Tikal, you will walk surrounded by the jungle. You will discover the main complexes while you learn about the development of this city and its history. Tikal, during the classical period, was one of the most important capitals of the Mayan world, its influence covered from the pacific coast to the Caribbean thanks to different alliances. As part of the Mayan biosphere, this park is a wildlife reserve where birds, mammals and reptiles live freely.

- Return to Flores. Transfer to Flores airport. Local flight to Guatemala City

DAY 7: Flores, Yaxha, Rio Dulce

- Transfer to Yaxha-Nakum-Naranjo National Park.
- Arrival at Yaxha.
- Located on a hilltop close to a lagoon, the main causeway to access this city during the classical period. In each complex you will see different public spaces, like the ballcourt and ceremonial areas. You cannot miss the view from the top of temple A216 with a stunning perspective over the reserve and the lagoon.

DAY 8: Rio Dulce, Livingstone, Rio Dulce

- Boat ride along the Rio Dulce where you will discover another part of Guatemala, with its lushes marine reserves where the mangrove creates alleys to navigate along with nature, birds, iguanas and depending on the season the manatee might join your ride. You will see the hot springs coming right out of the mountain, the hot water blends with the cool fresh river water. We will navigate between Rio Dulce Canyon right before we get to the Buga, or the mouth that opens to the sea, where Livingston is located. This small town is one of the Garifuna settlement right after they escaped from slavery in the southern Caribbean islands.

DAY 9: Rio Dulce, Quirigua, Guatemala City
