Day By Day Itinerary
DAY 1: Depart from USA

  • Depart the USA for Dubrovnik City in Croatia. Your international flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment.
DAY 2: The Pearl of the Adriatic

  • One of the most impressive stone walled cities in the world welcomes you. After check in at the hotel and a short break, we make our first acquaintance with this unique city. During the guided tour, you feel that it still has a flavour of an ancient commercial and cultural district.
  • UNESCO considers Dubrovnik one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. One of the best ways to understand the soul of this city, to feel its essence is to walk along its majestic defensive walls spanning for almost 2 kilometers. From their top, the view over the old town and the glimmering Adriatic sea is blissful. We visit some of the forts and feel the atmosphere of those times.
  • We continue our tour and our next highlight is the main street of Dubrovnik Stradun. This promenade, which is only 300 meters long, represents a unique setting where you can best feel the pulse of the city. It used to be a channel that divided the small island on which Dubrovnik was built from the mainland. Later on, the channel was filled to create the main towns street.
DAY 3: Trsteno Arboretum

  • Today we continue our acquaintance with Dubrovnik. We visit one of the most important architectural parts of Dubrovnik Dominican monastery. The monastery dates back to the 14th century. Impressive stairways lead to the Church and the statue of St. Dominic. In the heart of the monastery, there is a 15th century Gothic cloister with arches, columns, plants and well. There is also a Museum within the Monastery complex. There are numerous exhibits of religious art from Dubrovnik and beyond including paintings and various reliquary.
  • Later we move to the north and visit the oldest Renaissance garden in Dalmatia Trsteno Arboretum. The garden is set around a stone villa. It has a Renaissance layout, with a set of geometric shapes formed with plants such as lavender, rosemary, fuchsia and bougainvillea, while citrus trees perfume the air.
  • On the way back we make a photostop near Franjo Tudman Bridge from where opens a great view of the Dubrovnik riviera and liners.
  • In the afternoon you have free time. We recommend that you visit Rector palace, Franciscan Monastery, and do not forget about the cable car which can bring you to another spectacular viewpoint over Dubrovnik.
  • Meal: Breakfast
DAY 4: Lokrum island

  • Today we start our voyage to a small island near Dubrovnik Lokrum. The ferry will take us to the island. Lokrum is a great place to escape from the city. Crystal clear waters and the forested island full of holm oaks, black ash, pines and olive trees create a paradise on the Earth. The main architectural highlight of the island is the large medieval Benedictine monastery. On the territory of the monastery there is a pretty cloister garden and an impressive botanical garden, featuring giant agaves and palms from South Africa and Brazil. Near the center of the island there is a circular Fort Royal. It was built on the highest point of the island by the French (during a brief period of occupation in the early 19th century) and then the Austrians there are gorgeous views from the top of it. We will also walk along the park enjoying the wonderful nature. When we return to Dubrovnik, you will have free time.
  • Meal: Breakfast
DAY 5: Half Day Cilipi Folklore

  • On this beautiful Sunday morning we start our trip to one of the most traditional villages of Croatia is Cilipi. The village with charming landscapes is known for preservation of the Konavle valley traditions through famous embroidery, national costumes, folklore and gastronomy.
  • Here we will experience the richness of folklore culture, traditions and beautiful national costumes. We will have a traditional Cilipi welcome followed by a walk through this picturesque village with its typical rural architecture. We take a stroll around many stalls at the Sunday Fair, where we can buy various traditional handmade souvenirs and embroideries. Also we will see St Nicholas church. In the area in front of the church, we will enjoy a folklore performance with dances and folk music.

For centuries, the Ston Walls protected Dubrovniks independence.
  • Later we have a brief journey on a ferry from Orebic to the island of Korcula. The jewel of the island is undoubtedly Korcula town. The town of Korcula is the birthplace of the famous world traveler Marco Polo. During the walk along the beautiful old town we see the birth house of Marco Polo.
