Al Fatih Mosque

Although it is not as famous as the Blue Mosque or Hagia Sophia, Al Fatih Mosque is one of the most wonderful monuments of Turkey. Constructed in 1470, it was built by Mohamed Al Fatih, who was able to take control of Constantinople and establish a stronger Ottoman Empire.

Al Fatih Mosque is considered the most ancient in Turkey. However, the whole complex was reconstructed around the end of the 18th century due to being harshly damaged by earthquakes in the 17th century. Today, it welcomes hundreds of tourists who enjoy their vacations in Turkey.
