Ishak Pasha Palace in Turkey

Situated in Doğubeyazıt district in the Eastern section of Turkey, the Ishak Pasha Palace is a marvelous historical site that is off the touristic rout due to its location away from popular touristic cities like Istanbul. Nevertheless, some tour packages to Turkey would include a visit to the Ishak Pasha Palace.

The Ishak Palace dates to the end of the 17th century. It was built in 1685 when the Ottoman Empire was in one of the most flourishing periods. The palace was established by Colak Abdi Pasha and his son, Ishak, compeleted it with the help of the grandson Mehmet. The palace was completed in 1784.

There are several wonderful sections of the palace that are still well-preserved and represent some of the most amazing examples of Ottoman palaces. These sections include Exterior façades the courts, Harem or women section, the mosque, the Turkish baths, and many other remarkable places.
