Jabrin Fort in Oman

Jabrin Fort is one of the distinctive historical sites in Oman. Visitors to the country usually are attracted to its natural magic and beauty. Nevertheless, there are a few monuments that are quite worth a visit.

Constructed in 1670 by Belarab ibn Sultan, the structure is quite impressive with 3 floors, more than 50 rooms and carious chambers. The fort also hosts the mausoleum of its founder;

Belarab Ibn Sultan. Today, it is among the highlights commonly included in many travel packages to Oman.
In 1982, the Omani government carried out extensive restoration works in Jabrin Fort to become a national monument and an open air museum of Islamic arts and styles.
