Saeed Al Maktoum House in Dubai

Although the United Arab Emirates doesn't have this ancient rich history like some of the neighboring countries such as Egypt and Jordan, there are some significantly beautiful historical places to explore in the country.  

For example, there is the House of Sheikh Mohamed El Maktoum, the founder of modern Dubai and the ruler of the city from 1912 till 1958. The house was originally established in 1896 and it is among the oldest buildings in Dubai.

Today, the house is transformed into an interesting museum with a large collection of photographs, stamps, historical documents that record the history of Dubai. In fact, the house itself gives some glimpses about the style and architecture of the houses in Dubai at the beginning of the 20th century.
