The La Sagrada Familia Church in Spain

The La Sagrada Familia is one of the most famous landmarks of Barcelona in Spain. This impressive large Catholic Church was constructed in the period between the middle of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. The church welcomes hundreds of tourists who visit Spain.

Despite the fact the La Sagrada Familia Church was never completed, in 2010, it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The church is also one of the most popular works of Gaudi, one of the most famous Spanish architect, whose death caused the stoppage of the building of the church.

When Gaudi passed away in 1929, only a small section of the whole church was completed. There wasn’t enough fund to continue with the construction process. It was resumed back in 2010. The La Sagrada Familia Church is supposed to be completed in 2026 around a century after the dead of its architect.
