The Lund Cathedral is perhaps among the oldest surviving monuments of Sweden. Constructed in the 11th century, the cathedral served as the seat of the bishop of the Lund of the Church of the country.

Mainly constructed out of sandstones, the Lund Cathedral is popular for its Romanesque architecture and outlines. Among the most marvelous features of the cathedral, there are the two towers flaking the entrance. Each is 55 meters in height.

Other interesting elements in the Lund Cathedral include the magnificent two large gates made out of bronze. They contain reliefs from the bible. Many tourists who visit Sweden are keen to explore the Lund Cathedral.
