The Palace of the Parliament in Romania

Located in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, the Palace of the Parliament is an amazing huge building that was erected over the course of 13 years. Today, it is one of the popular monuments travelers who tour Romania are keen to view and admire.

With its striking look, the Palace of the Parliament of Bucharest has a height of more than 80 meters and a surface area of more than 365 square kilometers. This makes it among the largest buildings in the whole globe.  

The palace was commissioned by Nicolae Ceaușescu, the king of Romania after the end of World War II. This was why he ordered his men to build what is called the heaviest building in the whole world as it weighs 4,098,500,000 kilograms
