The Seaside Open Air Museum in Latvia

Established in 1954, the Seaside Open-Air Museum is among the most interesting places to explore during a tour to Latvia. Located at the  coast of the Baltic Sea, the museum hosts more than 20 thousand displays.

The museum illustrates the life of the Latvians throughout various periods of history. The most distinctive displays in the museum is the popular centerpiece is the windmill that belong to the 1970s.

In fact, most of the displays of the Seaside Open-Air Museum were gathered during the 1960s and 1970s. There is also a real railway at the museum which is more than 1 kilometers long.
