The Studenica Monastery in Serbia

The Studenica Monastery is in fact one of the most ancient surviving historical sites of Serbia. Established as early as the 12th century, it is one of the most marvelous Orthodox monasteries all over the world.  

The monastery is quite popular for its frescoes’ works that are considered among the most distinctive all over the globe. This is in addition to the marvelous white marble all over the establishment.

Added to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1986, the Studenica Monastery hosts many remarkable buildings like the Church of the Virgin, the Church of the King, and many other constructions. The monastery grab the attention of many art fans who travel to Serbia.
