The Trakai Island Castle in Lithuanian

During the past few years, many travelers started spending their vacations in Lithuanian. There are factually a number of historical sites that are worth exploring. The Trakai Island Castle is one of these distinctive sites of Lithuanian.

Constructed around the middle of the 14th century, the Trakai Castle was among the most important medieval strongholds in the region. In fact, the whole complex was turned into a museum today.

The museum is divided into two sections. The first is located in the castle situated inside the island, while the other one is on the shores. The museum hosts several aircrafts, coins, pictures, and many other historical findings.
