The Ubudiah Mosque in Malaysia

The Ubudiah Mosque, situated in the royal town of Kuala Kangsar, Perak in Malaysia, is one of the most marvelous pieces of Islamic architecture. It is in fact one of the most beautiful mosques in the whole world.

Designed by Arthur Benison Hubback, one of the renowned architects of Singapore credited with the building of the Ipoh Railway station, the Ubudiah Mosque was constructed in 1913. It was erected by the orders of Sultan Idris Murshidul Adzam Shah I who constructed this charming mosque to thank god that he was healed from a dangerous disease.

Featured with its distinctive imposing golden dome, the magnificent façade, and marvelous internal decorations and ornaments. The mosque of Ubudiah is commonly included in many tour packages to Malaysia.
