The War Museum in Thailand is one of the most unique places to explore. It illustrates the story of the railway established by the Japanese authorities in 1943 to link Japan to Thailand. The construction of such railway caused the death of more than 12,000 people. The railway stopped operating around 10 years after its construction as it was used to transport soldiers and military equipment between the two countries to support the campaign led by Japan. Today the museum tells the story of this incident. Founded in 1977, the museum was divided into two parts. The first was dedicated to the building of the railway and the story behind it. The second section contains many drawings, paintings, and works of art from this period around the 1940s and 1950s. Thailand link: http://www.righttravel.info/country/thailand-15.html
