The Yu Garden in Shanghai

Situated near several other exciting monuments like the City God Temple and the ancient section of Shanghai, the Yu Garden is a wonderful example of old traditional Chinese gardens. It welcomes numerous tourists every day who spend their vacations in China.

At the heart of the Yu Garden, there is the famous Exquisite Jade Rock that is more than 3 meters in height. Many rumors and legends were told about this famous statue. There are many wonderful features visitors of the garden should notice. There is for example the Sansui Hall, Wanhua Chamber, and also the impressive Nine Lion Study.

The establishment of the Yu Garden was in the middle of the 16th century during the ruling period of the Ming Dynasty. It took more than 20 years to be completed at 1577. Today, the Yu Garden is among the most visited monuments tourists who travel to China explore.
