Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge

Perched on the rim of the collapsed volcano, the Ngorongoro Crater, a world heritage site, often referred to as the eighth wonder of the world. It has the most magnificent views over the crater floor, which is home to vast herds of buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, the rare and endangered black rhino, elephant, cheetah, leopard, lion and herds of gazelle and wildebeest. Its position on the Eastern rim allows the most spectacular and uninterrupted views of the sunset.

• Location: Situated on the eastern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, in the volcanic highlands of Tanzania, covering an area of some 240 square kilometers. The lodge is located 170 km from Arusha, approximately 4 hours drive and 40 minutes by air, with another 45 minutes transfer from the airstrip to the lodge.
• Rooms: 97 spacious rooms. All of them have a lounge on entering with a mini bar. The bedrooms are spacious with 2 queen sized beds, and right in front is a verandah with glass windows, allowing a magnificent view of the crater floor
• Dinning: A warm and cosy room in the shape of a rondavale, with a high roof, and glass windows with a view of the crater.
• Bar: An intimate area with a fire place in the centre and comfortable seats for lounging and having cocktails before and after dinner. Glass windows with a view of the crater.
