Highlights of Cape Town - the five-minute cable car ride up to Table Mountain. It was exciting and fun. The time at Boulders Beach (1/2 hour drive from the hotel) for the African Penguins was wonderful. Took lots of photos.
Victoria Falls was exciting and well worth the trip there. Again, took lots of photos. Highlight here was the helicopter ride (15 minutes) over the Falls. The choice of the Victoria Falls Safari Club was perfect. My room was magnificent.
A word about Business Class with Qatar Airlines - I thought Singapore Air was great, but Qatar outdoes them in Business Class! The seating is like a small cubicle with a sliding door for total privacy! Service was outstanding. It is now Number One in my book
Another wonderful trip - enjoyed every minute - thanks to you and your assistance. And, for next year, Colombia in May and Cairo and Doha for September!
Thank you for your patience and kindness with me and my trips.
Just want you to know that we have had the best trip to South Africa and Swaziland. South Africa is a very safe place to visit, people are all very nice. Our tour manager Arthur Gaffley is the best and most hard working tour manager my daughter and I have ever seen. When we missed our flight to South Africa, Arthur comforted us and provided us the additional day tour. He worked very hard to make all 33 people in the tour satisfied and he succeeded.
Please spread the good words of this tour. Thank you Right Travel for this wonderful once a lifetime experience.

The flight from New York to Capetown is long but worth the effort. You travel to the Eastern Hemisphere and then to the “down under” - South Africa.
Cape town is a gripping city, with an European flavor, situated on the most southern region of the African continent. It’s from there that you go to Cape of Good Hope and the Cape Peninsula. It’s where you go from to the Wine land region of that country. It’s also where the famous Table Mountain is located.
It is a special feeling, sitting on top of the Table mountain, sipping coffee and viewing the city at your feet, looking at the other ridges surrounding you. Very memorable. So is the harbor area known as the Waterfront. Beautiful, relaxing and fun.
The highlights of the trip were the Victoria Falls and the three Safaris we participated in: the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve, The Kruger National Park and the Elephant Back Safari in Zimbabwe. It is most amazing to actually be in the reserve, view from pretty close up the Rhinos, Elephants, Zebras, Buffalos, Cheetahs, Gazelles, Lions, various monkeys and more - some of it from the back of an elephant. It’s an experience of a lifetime.
The Victoria Falls section of the Zambezi river is a destination of it is own. The mass of the water falling is breath taking.
For me, what left the most lasting impact in Johannesburg was the visit to the Apartheid and the Hector Pieterson museums in Soweto. Those two museums tell a story of what freedom means and what the human spirit can endure in fighting for it. Most memorable.
This quick review does not do justice to this trip and is just the tip of the iceberg. It’s Africa, it is not the easiest trip, but worth the effort.
